On Halloween 2009, Mr. Peanutbutter and Diane attended BoJack's Halloween party. The two are still friendly with one another, but when they arrive back to her apartment Mr. Peanutbutter gives Diane the signed divorce papers. All this speech ended up becoming empty when Diane invites PB to sleep with her. Pickles is hungover and sitting in the bathtub. Mr. Peanutbutter says they need to think of someone. At Todd's apartment, he has the furniture delivered and prepares the actors playing the guests for what they should say. They go into their living room and he says he waits all day for her to come home. He excuses himself to go run the costume contest. Pickles is excited to go to her first fancy Hollywoo party. He's her cameraman and their relationship quickly spirals into them moving in together. Mr. Peanutbutter announces to the set that his mom dies and asks for support. Pickles encourages Mr. Peanutbutter to visit BoJack in rehab if thats the thing thats been weighing on his mind, and Mr. Peanutbutter reaffirms that BoJack being in rehab is the only thing on his mind. They both agree to get an abortion. He tells BoJack that when his mom got old they sent her to a farm. He is then approached by Joey Pogo. Mr. Peanutbutter tells Diane anytime he went to a Halloween party with one of his wives they would get in a huge argument, so he's glad she's so fun and easygoing and loves parties. Mr. Peanutbutter assures her he'll never leave her alone again, but Katrina storms off saying she wants to be alone now and tells him to have fun with his hippie liberal friends. During the after-party, Mr. Peanutbutter hires Todd as his assistant, for his new company, PB Livin'. Diane's stress with the wedding and her situation with BoJack culminates while shopping for wedding registry ideas with Mr. Peanutbutter, to which they ultimately decide to move the wedding up within the month and to hold a smaller celebration. Diane then apologizes saying that was a weird thing to tell her ex-husband. Max tells him Pickles flirts with Joey and follows him across the restaurant. Salinger, accidentally gets in a conference call with Diane and Princess Carolyn, and BoJack and Ana, with the latter two, are in New York when Princess Carolyn meant to put him on hold. A drunk Pickles goes up to Diane and tells Diane that it's okay if she's jealous because she's definitely not jealous of her. Mr. Peanutbutter goes into the bar. Diane felt pressured to act like she loved parties and socializing and to live up to his "fun" ex-wives, insisting to Mr. Peanutbutter she was having fun when he asked if she was OK. When Diane returns home later that night, Mr. Peanutbutter talks to Diane to apologize for his grand gestures and explains how much he loves her despite having different personalities. He approaches a rhino smoking a cigarette and tries to get in his face, and he tries his cigarette away. Jessica yells at Mr. Peanutbutter for not keeping the mummy away, while also revealing she auditioned to play the actual mummy as she storms off. Mr. Peanutbutter is a male Labrador Retriever. She asks if they can plan the wedding when she comes back and he sadly tells her sure they can as it sounds like a good compromise. Joey tells her that's exactly right and she totally gets him. Katrina snaps and angrily shouts "I AM NOT HAVING FUN," which interrupts the party. Mr. Peanutbutter decides to try and toughen up his image. This somehow works, and he ends up working at a Lady FootLocker until he is approached by Princess Carolyn gets him a job for author J.D. BoJack says he's aware. Instead, he gets cheered, for keeping them informed. Mr. Peanutbutter storms off during the commercial break, unsure as to whether he should forgive BoJack. When Mr. Peanutbutter hears Ruthie knock over a lamp he says that he hears the note and he will be back with her drink. Diane gained massive backlash over bringing up these details, despite the fact they had been public for years, as Hank is beloved and as a result, no one wants to believe he is capable of doing bad things. Before leaving, Jessica asked Mr. Peanutbutter to not let her see any mummies, as she had a traumatic past experience relating to them. Mr. Peanutbutter thanks the set for supporting him about his mom's death but realizes that his dad is dead too. On the set of Birthday Dad, BoJack and Mr. Peanutbutter are filming a war scene and BoJack is cast as a dead soldier. She throws her engagement ring back at Mr. Peanutbutter, yelling "unsubscribe!" Soon, the hatred that the cast and crew held for Mr. Peanutbutter quickly turns into pity. She continued to be cruel and cold towards Mr. Peanutbutter for the remainder of their marriage. While playing with his coin sorter, Mr. Peanutbutter says he wishes he can throw his problems in the coin sorter, and have it sorted all out for him. It has its ups and downs as she gains weight off antidepressants but she decides to move with Guy to Houston. In BoJack Hates the Troops, he briefly filmed for a reality show titled Peanutbutter and Jelly. Princess Carolyn thinks for a moment as Mr. Peanutbutter's lawn is destroyed by the fire, and she comes up with the false story that Mr. Peanutbutter got rid of the lawn and replaced it with drought-resistant landscaping. Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter are at the hospital, where Diane's wrist has been put in a cast. He recalls her not loving Starbucks, but loving the independent coffee place, although Starbucks is more convenient, showing Diane he does listen. In Let's Find Out, Mr. Peanutbutter reveals to BoJack he knows he's mean to him and doesn't like him. After Woodchuck says during a press conference that if a state senator was willing to actually petition for an amendment to the constitution that would democratically allow him to bid his governor title on a ski race, then he would accept the challenge. That last part is key because, for Mr. Peanutbutter, he isn't meeting and dating these women because they have common interests (besides not having kids, he and Diane have little in common),. Mr. Peanutbutter asks if Flea Daniels can see the guilt on his face. She insists people will love it, and that love will transfer over to Mr. Peanutbutter. The whole "i understand and appreciate you" thing, where they try to fix their marriage, has already been used. They hear the doorbell ring. In Planned Obsolescence, Mr. Peanutbutter surprises Pickles, by picking her up from work and inviting her to go with him to the desert, so they can watch the international space station being blown up. Diane wants to leave but is her car is trapped between two vehicles. It was the fact that PB only knew how to express his love in his way (through huge romantic gestures) instead of recognizing how to actually connect with her. Mr. Peanutbutter apologizes and says he got distracted by the fun party. He also dislikes change, as he didn't want Diane to go to Cordovia. Philbert picks up the landline phone in his bedroom, where he gets the news that the police chief was murdered. He is then picked up from prison by Mr. Peanutbutter. Because Princess Carolyn doesn't give them any candy, thirteen-year-old Todd, Emily and a friend of theirs teepee BoJack's house. Princess Carolyn gets ready to drive over, to help them, while telling them not to enter the house. The sun hits a blimp promoting Secretariat, which has the mirror design BoJack insisted on in Stop the Presses, and it begins to heat up the water and boil the pasta. Mr. Peanutbutter goes on to say that he loves the meme where the boyfriend is looking at another lady and the girlfriend turns to him with an expression of tremendous pain asking how could a man who claims to love her betray her, saying that its a very sad meme. Flip yells cut. However, Mr. Peanutbutter accidentally says that he still has feelings for Diane. He asks her if she's okay because the other night she left his party crying. Just then, Mr. Peanutbutter interrupts them. Princess Carolyn is understandably confused but says that she'll look into getting the film rights. Mr. Peanutbutter says that the only thing hes interested in is making things even between him and Pickles. BoJack takes a selfie outside of the Capital building and posts it on Instagram, and the first comment is from Mr. Peanutbutter telling him to turn around. He angrily tells Mr. Peanutbutter to get a job. Mr. Peanutbutter then gets a phone call with an offer to buy Elefante. Diane, while pretending to be the thermostat, tells Mr. Peanutbutter not to talk so much. At the same time, people who had arrived at Mr. Peanutbutter's house for the surprise wedding jump out and yell Surprise! but they quickly retreat once Mr. Peanutbutter confesses his adultery, much to Pickles' shock.
